The standard this site is built toward
The site is built against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. That standard is a public W3C document, and it covers how a webpage ought to behave for someone reading with a screen reader, driving with the keyboard alone, zooming through a magnifier, relying on captions, or turning on reduced motion in the operating system. AA is the rung most public-facing American websites are expected to clear. There is no claim on this page that every page on the site meets every clause of that standard today, and no such claim will land here until a proper audit backs it up.
What has already been built in
From the first page out, the build has worked against those guidelines.
- The pages use proper HTML headings, lists, buttons and links in reading order, rather than styled divs standing in for them.
- Keyboard-only navigation covers every page. A visible focus ring tracks the element you are on, and the tab order follows the order the content reads in.
- Body copy is set over backgrounds picked to hold color contrast at or above the WCAG 2.2 AA thresholds, in both the light and the dark color scheme.
- Pictures that carry meaning get a short text description via the alt attribute. Decorative shapes and background patterns are flagged so a screen reader passes right over them.
- On-page motion is kept small to begin with, and each page respects the reduced-motion preference the operating system sets. With that preference on, animations stop.
- The phone number sits as plain text on every page, so a screen reader reads it as digits, and on a touch device the same string also acts as a tap-to-call link.
- The callback form under the phone number uses real labels on real inputs, with a visible focus state on every field. The phone number stays available for a reader who would rather call than type.
What we know still needs work
None known as of October 2, 2026. If you run into something we overlooked, call (847) 201-4879 and tell us; it joins this list until the fix is in.
How to report a problem
Call (847) 201-4879. Say which page tripped you up, what you were trying to do when it did, and where exactly it got in the way. If a screen reader, a magnifier or another assistive tool was running at the time, naming the specific tool helps us reproduce the problem. Any detail you share is written down for the fix.
When you can expect to hear back
We reply to every accessibility report and say what will be fixed.
